The VAB (Front armored vehicle) is a 4X4 Combat Proven armored personnel carrier. Reliable and rustic, it is suitable for the most diverse uses.
Originally fitted with a 220 horsepower 6-cylinder diesel engine, it can be re-engined with a 240 horsepower Euro 3 diesel engine.
The VAB is equipped with armor protection against small arms. It can receive additional shielding to reach the latest protection standards.

Convinced of its potential, S2M-Equipment offers various options to give the VAB a second wind:
Replacement of the original engine by a Diesel E3 240 HP engine and automatic gearbox (6 forward and 1 reverse) for greater autonomy and lower carbon emissions. A gain of +25% compared with the MAN version – a new range of 1150 km (without additional jerry cans). New speed: 105 km/hour.
Complete overhaul of undercarriages.
Refurbish upholstery or replace with suspension seats.
Installation of air conditioning with diffuser for armoured vehicles.
We propose a complete insulating kit made up of 3 sub-assemblies:
- 1 insulating kit for the exhaust line,
- 1 insulation kit for the engine compartment,
- 1 insulation kit for the body of the vehicle thus protecting the crew from the outside heat.
